Planned Power Maintenance
Voxel dot Net is currently experiencing a planned partial power outage at our LGA2 facility.
As per maintenance notification #700740, Voxel facility engineers are currently replacing a key component in our PDU (Power Distrubution) system which was found to be degraded.
Additional Voxel engineers will be onsite and available during the duration of the maintenance to ensure that customer infrastructure is brought up as quickly as possible, regardless of their management level.
More details will be provided as soon as they are available.
Update: Wed May 21 11:21:55 EDT 2008

Network Outage
Voxel dot Net is currently experiencing a network outage at our LGA2 facility.
More details will be provided as soon as they are available.
Update: Fri Aug 3 16:12:39 EDT 2007
Today, at approximately 3:04PM EDT, Voxel dot Net experienced a failure with one
of our core backbone routers at our LGA2 facility. Our onsite and network
engineers began troubleshooting the failure immediately and service was
restored at approximately 3:25PM EDT.
Our network is designed to be fully redundant, and to be tolerant of individual
router failures like this. However, it appears that in this case, even though
the router was not forwarding traffic, it did not fail over as it was designed
or configured to do. At this point, we believe we have the problem narrowed
down to a faulty line card. We will be sending out a more detailed RFO (Reason
for Outage) once we have concluded our initial research and investigationinto
this issue.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience that this issue may have caused you and
your business. Voxel takes the availability of its network very seriously, and
we are working internally and with the vendor in question to be able to
properly understand the failure mode and ensure that such problems do not
reoccur in any way.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us
anytime.
Sincerely,
-Voxel Operations
